International yoga day
Navyabharathi Global School (NGS) in Nizamabad celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21 with immense enthusiasm, transforming the campus into a serene space for wellness. The day began with a crisp morning assembly on the main ground, bringing together the co-ed boarding community, staff, and management. The school Principal inaugurated the event with an inspiring address, emphasizing how incorporating yoga into daily student life is essential for managing academic pressures, enhancing focus, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
Following the address, a certified yoga instructor led the participants through a comprehensive 45-minute session based on the Common Yoga Protocol. Students of all ages actively engaged in warm-up exercises, foundational postures like Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and Tadasana, and calming breathing techniques (Pranayama) to improve respiratory function and cognitive clarity. A brief guided meditation allowed everyone to experience a moment of profound inner peace.
A major highlight was an impressive demonstration by the school’s Yoga Club, showcasing advanced postures that inspired their peers. The celebration concluded with a collective pledge by the entire NGS community to integrate yoga into their daily routines, leaving students and staff feeling refreshed and deeply committed to holistic health.
