Policy  and  Information of  library

  • Our library in  Navyabharathi Global school was named after Prof. KVGK Gokhale  memorial library.
  • It was established in 2006 from the beginning we are maintaining our standards very good to enrich the knowledge of our students about book reading and also for the overall development of students.
  • We follow strictly the objectives made by our management for our library in school ,objectives;

We maintain our standards very good by maintaining a very good collection of books ,that we are having

  • Story books-1980
  • Novels-1950
  • Comics -500
  • General reference -500
  • Telugu stories -350
  • Disney-277
  • A part of this we are having many subscription of monthly magazine called Brain feeds which we provide every month to each and every student .They also provide subjective material work sheets every month which are also use full for academic development of students.
  • We are having very vast and large reading hall with a capacity of 50 at a time .our reading hall was also very innovative in look ,the walls of our reading hall are filled with many inspirational quotations.
  • As per the rule made by the father of library science Sr. Ranganathan we provide the enough space of 25sq feet for every student in reading hall to have a perfect seating and to be comfort in reading.
  • As per our time table in school a part of academics each class from 1 to 10 we are having 4 sessions for each class in a month the session consists of one and half hour each .On behalf of this they can also borrow the books to home.
  • We are having a rule that if the students borrow the book within 4 days they have to return the book are they have to register the book once again .students are charged in case of miss place of book are any damage of the book at any cost.
  • We have some guidelines for particular classes to borrow the books to home we allotted Monday &Tuesday for 6 &9&10 classes to Borrow , Wednesday & Thursday for 8 & 4 classes, Friday & Saturday for 7&5 classes.
  • In the leisure hours our staff members are also free to use the library for reference materials and they are also free to Borrow any others books from library as per their Interest.
  • We are also allocated with sufficient budget every year by our school management to make our collection updated.
  • I has a librarian in our school it was very challenging task for me to know the interest of books for our children in school and to make it available in our library, I am doing my level best in this task by following the record of the books that which they read and Borrow from the library.
  • We maintain a school diary in our school one has to bring the school diary to school diary when they are entering in to library in every session of our library the student has to the book name which they have read and have to take the signature of the librarian at that particular session.
  • As we maintain our library as per rules and regulations we maintain the stock register in our library each and every book was noted in it.
  • The arrangements of books are done accordingly the accession number which is allotted to the books and arranged serially according to it in the racks.
  • For every class we allot a student library Incharge so that he will take care and update the librarian about the student who borrowing and returning update about the class students.
  • Keeping in view the limited resources at its disposal, it has to provide “Best reading for the largest number at the least cost”. Ranganathan’s Five laws of Library Science namely: we follow strictly in our school.
  • Books are for use, Every Reader his Book, Every Book its Reader, Save the Time of Reader, Library is a growing Organism, are to be kept in mind while framing the book selection policy.

Goals of library

 Our school library is integral to the educational process. The following are essential to the development of literacy, information literacy, teaching, learning and culture and are core school library services:

  • working with students, teachers, administrators and parents to achieve the mission of the school;

NATIONAL LIBRARIAN  DAY

In remembrance of the great Indian Dr.Sr.Ranganthan we celebrate National librarian day very heartfully in our school on 12 august every year.

BOOK DONATION DAY

  • As a part of ‘Book Week’, our school organise ‘Book Donation Drive’ on FEBRUARY 14 and the students may be encouraged to share their book with others and donate good books of their own to the library. Parents and well wishers may also be requested to donate books.
